Is it possible to subscribe to a Windows event that fires when Windows is going into or coming out of Sleep or Hibernate state?

Microsoft.Win32.SystemEvents.PowerModeChanged event will give you this information.
In Win32, use the WM_POWERBROADCAST message.
You can monitor Win32_PowerManagementEvent WMI event In .NET, use the PowerModeChanged event .

Go to START it to NEVER HIBERNATE....
Just go into your power management settings and disable going to sleep or going into hibernate applications were preventing power-down that the feature was effectively redundant.

I have a Windows service that needs to run on a PC that is left on 24 hours.
I can't rely on the PC having sleep/shut down disabled because it is something being installed on around 3500 sites and X, Y or Z might mean that sleep/shut down is not disabled...

I have only been gluten free for two weeks, but have seen great improvements already in my symptoms. But now it seems that I am sleeping SO deep that I don't wake up for anything in the morning until my body is ready...
