We have done wet & Wild and also White water world both in June my boys have loved it each time , you just need to pick your day ....although kids dont seem to have any sense or feeling when it comes to cold water LOL I think your itinerary sounds great... .

I'm not a great fan of Surfers.
Another vote for Broadbeach & Main Beach - excellent restaurants & cafes .
As you are going with kids, you need to be a little bit more careful when strolling during night .
Both Broad beach and Surfers paradise is good.

Coolangatta is the Cold Coast airport but Brisbane isn't much further and sometimes you find.
You can either fly into Coolangatta or Brisbane and get to any part of the Gold Coast within an hour.
