Hi, I am a new member. I am painting for a very long time. Find myself needing to add glazing to my repertoire. I have several size brushes need some advice in mixture and aplication.

The Golden Fluid used for....
Golden makes so many fantastic, glowing, transparent colors.
I use Golden Acrylics for your glazing layers.
Even opaque colors can be used for color glazing, and the grisalle can be opaque .

I use Golden Acrylics all the time, and glazing techniques fantastic, glowing, transparent....
Type added: Golden is a good brand, the key to working with acrylics according to Roderick Stevens glazing, and the grisalle can be opaque.

I paint in acrylics too...
If you can get Golden acrylics, hopefully you can get some of their Open Gel Medium be ribbed off again (?)....

If you like a thinner paint, then you might want to try the Liquitex Soft Body or the Golden Fluid it had as much....
Graham's Acrylic Paints and love them, as well.
I have recently started using M.
Their fluid acrylics.

I have a tin of hard wax oil ( Think I got it from Richard ) used it once , went to use it yesterday , removed the lid and it has set

What temperature is it where the hard wax oil is being stored? I'm wondering if the wax has solidified? It might be worth trying warming it in some hot water for a while and giving it a good shake / stir to see if it does any good .

Marbling is typicaly done as Lady Carol described in the information kiosk.
This results in esentialy a monoprint on paper.
What if you wanted to incorporate marbling into a painting but don't want to cut paper to acomplish.

I know that several have heard this question before, but what materials do I need to do a faceup? Is there a difference between what I can use for vinyl and what I can use for resin?
Aslo, what sealing sprays are good for faceups?

(As a general rule of thumb with paints, student grade I use:
- Dry pastels
- Watercolour pencils
- Occassionally acrylics (Citadel paint like the one, and thinned to be ....
Personally I tend towards Golden's Fluid Acrylics.
