It obviously depends on how are defining a "good development job".
This is doubly true of an MBA.
MSc or MCS is a good "plus" ; but that doesn't guarantee a job until and unless you in.

Teaching at a university level will probably require getting a doctorate at most universities... .
I would suggest revisiting this once you're a good ways into the Computer Science degree, to see level, this is probably a very good way to go.

I have a CELTA, but no BA, i'm very excited at the prospect of gaining experience ...but i'm concerned at the fact my lack of a degree may stop this happening..has any here gained a position without a degree?

There are plenty of options based degree, but these take up 3 years.
You should do a degree online.
But it's not legal and not very secure for you .
