Here goes then, my first build thread (and first VW project) since 1995 !
I'm building a road rally car based on a 3 door black MK3 GTi 16v.
Picked the car up as an MOT failure with rotten front wings and some patches underneath.
Plans are to sort out...

Front half of cage is on a shelf....
This will do (literally put it in the car to save space until we weld in the plates next week.
Today we took the car to the local bodyshop (the guy who owns it is currently putting the finishing in here....

Was owned by a good friend who did TSD rally and passed away. I acquired it and kept modding.
Old engine compartment pic. Will update w/ fresh one shortly.
Tomorrow's install: DMS 50mm rally suspension. Pics soon.

Not bad.
The Aztek wasn't loved very much I believe that car was 2004s greatest engineering feat.
Of 10 It's not a bad car, it's just extraordinarily ugly.
