Good luck! A web page should it's Flash and pretty much everybody has it, it's still good practice and not considered gaming the search around the link (content), etc....
JavaScript, there is no Flash, and therefore your plain html div wins .

Any google search for anything about SEO yields more articles than you can shake a stick at, but lot of the articles are out of date, many have conflicting advice and I just about none of them ever give any reasons/proof/data to back up their claims about...

Is 1-1 link Exchange with other sites still a good Google SEO practice? I see most of the top ranked sites in Google (in my industry) have done little or no link exchange.

3 way exchanges 'linking services' or the like which will not only kill off overhead (time wise for seo teams) but also won't need as many links.
Have a negitive effect, however, reciprocal links are generally a good SEO tactic.
