It does not appear that the page actually navigates to the gadget URL though so.
The droppable occurs - it add the gadget html to the new position in the DOM tree and causes the script this behaviour to occur.

I am trying to figure out which widget development platform is superior. I want a cross-browser widget and so I a thought either the Google or Yahoo solution will be best. They both seem to be using the same technologies - JavaScript, HTML, XML, etc.

Personally I've seen a presentation from Christain Heilmann a Yahoo Developer Evangelist, and what Yahoo are doing with widgets, especially putting a framework in place so you can install widgets onto Yahoo's homepage is pretty cool .

All I have is the i-google theme picture, search box, my sign-in user name and under that a big white blank where my i-google gadgets used to be. There is no left menu for replacing or adding gadgets. Do I need to delete this account and start over

Igoogle settings show that the gadgets are there, but all I can get is my "theme" Have deleted cookies, started over again and still noth I have the same issues going on, most of my gadgets have gadgets used to be.

I wonder if there is a tool/framework available that supports testing Google Wave Gadgets outside Google Wave.
I know these two emulators ( 1 and 2 ), but I still always would have to upload my gadget for every debugging run.

Here are links to the source for the gadget....
Then you can develop your gadgets offline, without having to upload them every time you want to test.
