Is there an API available for grabbing Google Streetview images at a particular location (and direction)? I see that its possible to get and position the Flash control, but I'd prefer something that just gave me a JPEG (or some other bitmap format).

Includes anything to the file system in GAE, right? That would mean that any images you want to include would/main.jpg would work fine.
There is a GAE tutorial on how to Serve Dynamic Images with Google App Engine .

I am surprised there isn't a thread for Google Images! Or is there and I am just missing it? Anyways, I find Google Images very helpful. Google has wonderful indexing of the images, I guess. What do you guys think?

It's very easy and important tool for finding images from around the world.
