I've never had this problem before. Suddenly now I can't receive calls in my Gmail via Google Talk. Even when I'm logged in and my Google Talk status is "available," the Google Talk just doesn't ring when someone calls my Google Voice. My Google Voic

I just got it fix by disabling the google talk video accelerator gv numbers....
At least they are still showing up as missed calls or else I would be in trouble!!! Google GroVe IP to receive my GV calls.

I want to use Google talk, but I don't want it checking my email and notifying me of new mail all the time. I can't see how to switch it off, but it seems like the sort of thing that should be an option. Am I missing something? How can I switch email ...

Click Settings.
To diable notification for new mail in Google Talk, follow these steps:
Open the Google Talk application.
Box here to try it on, but that should work.. .

Is it possible to determine whether google talk uses tcp or udp packets for transmission. i know it uses the xmpp protocol at the application layer, but does it run over tcp or udp.

And add chat history on GMail settings.
The other location "eating" your chat request will get disconnected sooner or later and won't be able to reconnect .
