I am 76 and fair skinned.
Home again. Had the test to see if the baloon was properly seated for the seeding and it is not. It is too close to the surface so Mammosite is a no go.
New choices: Partial breast radiation, like a mammosite from the outside...

I was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago with DCIS in the left breast. Just one area, but stereotactic biopsy shows that it is high grade with comedo type necrosis. Is 9mm considered a large area? I am scheduled to have a lumpectomy next week and they will do...

Of invasion is higher for those who have high grade DCIS, but with such a small amount of DCIS, I'd, DCIS 6cm+ Grade 3 w/ IDC microinvasion, Stage I, 0/3 nodes, ER+/PR- Thanks for your response Beesie to the nipple.....

Is there ANY tests or treatments for DCIS that can be proactive to determine progression? I am frustrated the only recommendation has been surgery. I was diagnosed in January with surgical recommendation given in February. Surgery for masectomy is supposed...
