Hello Jasmeer, To find a science fair idea, I would suggest you use the topic selection wizard.

Are not specific enough and are vague and unclear, so they are not appropriate titles for your science fair.

I won fifth place in my science fair with my verbal explanation....
All my cloned plants that got 50% more plant food died .
Sadly I was no where near the top that year though plants .

I think what you are talking about at cornell is very true, it is a very, very grade deflated of their grading.
