I have had my DLP for about 2.5 years now and really don't use it much other than weekends for games and the occasional movie.
Recently I started playing a Hockey Game with my friend and noticed grainyness or some kind of fuzzyness all over the screen...

If yours has the side ports you may be able to clean it from there, if not you have to remove the front and then clean the inside lens after .
Most likely dust on the lens.

What's a good tight punchy high gain pedal that's not fuzzy or artificial sounding? i've never really used any before.

If PDFs produced from it look any better, Word likely needs tweaking... .
Have you tried alternatives, such as Open Office? I realize that heavy MS Office users often don't find OO to be sufficient, but at the very least you could use it as a diagnostic tool .

IMHO , that shot was lucky!
#2 again, shooting into the sun is a bad thing, but the post processing used... .
Well #1 looks like it is shot into the sun, and the sun flare is just over running the photo and the photog was able to pull out a "High Key" shot.. .
