How many grams of fat should we have in one day?
Ok, so I count calories, but I am still really confused as to how to count grams of fat. Is this really important as well as counting calories? How many grams of fat should we eat on a calorie restricted diet?

How many grams of fat do you eat a day?
The Daily Plate tells me that I should have about 60 grams of fat a day. I don't take all of the DP's recommendation but have found that 50 to 60 grams a day works for me. I can stay within my calorie limits with this much fat. If I have much more, I tend to go over on calories. Years ago I was on the Zone diet and the doctor that wrote the book said that we need some healthy fat and I know that WW says we need some fat. Also I have found that if I don't get enough fat, I get constipated.

Count Calories or Fat grams?
Ever since Americans began that low-fat craze, they have been getting heavier and heavier. The sensible thing to do, is to eat good nutritious foods. I don't count anything either, and I've maintained a healthy weight for about 20 years by consuming natural foods and exercising.

Do you believe that eating fat won't make you fat?
Once I cut grains out of my diet, my weight stabilized for the first time in my adult life. Even going LC with some grains it was unstable, only removing them totally stabilized it. I can eat as much fat and protein as I can stand, so long as I stay away from grains and not gain.

Foods that burn fat?
I was wondering if eating more protein will help me to burn fat, if this is so, how does that work? Also, are there any other foods that will help to burn fat. I get 50 grams of protein just from shakes, so I would imagine I get another 130 grams from food i eat to equal my body weight. So I think that I am getting the recommended amount of preotein, but should I up the protein I take to burn more fat?
