Where my horses are going to be living hay storage is limited, and living close to a race track hay prices and availablity tend to vary. So I am thinking about the hay cube option. Does anyone else do this or have any opinions?

I thought about growing grass in huge pots on my balcony and then harvest them, then I refrigerate the extras. I know it's not really "hay" but I read that fresh grass is better than dried ones. Is this possible? :| If so, what kind of grass would be ...
