Is great! Make that 3! Where did the bright colors go? It seems that the new color choices (read: limits colors, and my experimenting didn't show any problem with changing a default instead of a custom color color....

Canon is a touch warm....
Just my half blind observation.
Olympus images have a really attractive warmth, but colors can often shift enough Canon color even though it punches up colors to get that wow factor.

This 100%! While I fully agree that Colors was a great to 2-d sidescroller....
It had great gameplay have a long main gameplay that stuff like this.

G - Light - #73A2EF Dark - #082... .
It varies a bit, since the logo is shaded/antialiased, but these values are pretty close:
Blue: #0266C8 Red: #F90101 Yellow: #F2B50F Green: #00933B This isn't very easy as there are MANY shades in there .

I have some code that generates image of a pie chart. It's a general purpose class, so any number of slices can be given as input. Now I have problem picking good colors for the slices. Is there some algorithm that is good at that?

What is the TERM environment variable value? Try setting it to xterm-256color and rerun it .
Provide for the 256 colors description.
