I'm actually kind of impressed they were still there an hour later. In my neighbourhood they would have been long, long gone never to be seen again. That's why our stores are so vigilant in not letting them out the door. My grocery store has an electric fence system around its perimeter so that people can't steal the shopping carts either. source
