Sean, Dig out the old grout and replace it with epoxy grout if the color matches..
We just took over my sisters side of the house and it doesn't look like the shower grout has EVER been cleaned. How can I get rid of the mold and mildew stains without breaking the bank. I want to do this as economical as I can. I have grout brushes.....

Cleaning grout without damaging tiles We have lovely blue bathroom tiles on the floor of our shower. I need to clean the grout (it's not too bad atm) but want to be careful not to stain the tiles by bleach based products. Any suggestions please?

This was in Edinburgh and i'm the stains, how long it took....
If my memory serves me right the main contractor got a specialist stone contractor to buff/polish away the stains and the floor was perfect.

How do you think the grout will take the stain? And then what type of sealer? You're gonna haftabased on some advice he got at home depot, he would like me to rub it down with minwax wood stain, give it a TEST on a scrap piece.
My wife would like to have white ceramic floor tiles fitted to our kitchen but I'm worried that the white grouting will get dirty and turn black. Are there any products on the market that will prevent the grouting from staining, other than choosing black...

Dependant upon what colour your spread white grout on a floor.
You could use a grout sealer but unless you are prepared to walk in socks/slippers I would strongly recommend not to use white grout on a floor, especially kitchen.

I've laid tiles in my bathroom and kitchen and it does take a lot of elbow grease, and sometimes multiple cleanings, to get all the grout down with a soft cloth.
The grout color if not properly/completely cleaned after grouting.
