Cause I have to have a gig bag or guitar case for each guitar
And for a gig I bring 3 guitar because I break strings a lot and plus for different sounds

This should transfer settings....
It will be in the user directory (My Documents, Native Instruments, Guitar Rig 4 would be a good place to start.) You for the controller then you need to get that file in the Guitar Rig 5 settings directory.

I wanted to do this from the beginning. inspired by edo's patch, this is a monophonic guitar to midi converter (playing chords gives uncontrollable results).
it has latency, but not too bad. it recognizes audio level and transmits it as midi note on velocity...

If you record the output as midi instead guitar->midi? How does it compare to using a hex pickup? i feed a roland gk-2a pickup on a squier.

My main sixer right now is an Epi Les Paul Pro FX (the one with floyd)
my main options as of now are:
another Epi LP Pro FX
LTD EC-256 and up (400,401, etc)...

Guitar wiring shortcut? So if I am lazy and don't want to fire up the soldering gun to connect a pickup wire to a snipped wire off a pot, can I shortcut and just combine them with one of those plastic screw tip connectors like you get with lighting fixtures...
