I DEFINITELY don't think....
Most guitar player who play bass don't play it nearly as well as they think.
Has filled in on bass a few times, I'll be the first to admit I play one like a guitar player and prefer to leave it alone.

How do you fingerpick a guitar and make it not sound like shit?
I have a huge callous on the tip of my middle finger from throwing drives in DG and now when I try to fingerpick on my classical guitar it produces a higher pitched, shitty sounding tone....

I tried the thumb from the list Keltic put up is... .
Nothing wrong with getting a nail file to keep them in good working order .
On the fingertips of my left hand from playing guitar all the time and I found you can file them down and guitar.
