Guitar Players

Being schooled in jazz and having learned brass voicings on keyboards, it does affect my guitar playing. Really opens it up compared to simple simon barre chords. I have a brother who is a guitar player and have heard many good guitar amps through him. When I voiced my Valvetronix I knew what the real deal was supposed to sound like. I came from guitar, and it really seems to have improved my guitar playing. What I find really wierd is playing bass for a while then picking up the guitar, all the frets seem tiny lol! source

I play in a band right now, mostly electrics though. I own a Yamaha acoustic guitar that I noodle around on every once in a while. source

Here's the thing I've come to learn about Theory. After 8 years of playing without learning a lick of it, then beginning to learn it, I realized that I was already using the methods familiarized in music theory, I was just ignorant to what they were or what their related functions were. Now that I'm learning theory, it doesn't make me a more amazing player, but I'm starting to understand why things work they way they do, and why I play the way I do. If I could go back and start off differently, I most definitely would learn theory at the start and save myself years of stumble-upon learning. source

I've been playing since November, I have an old Gibson B25 that my dad had. I'm getting an electric as soon as I can afford it. source
