Hey AGFers! Been playing about 10 years, started out on a couple pawn shop guitars and about 3 years ago decided I wanted my first all solid wood and more expensive guitar to be a Taylor. Bought a nice 2005 214 off an AGFer here and loved it right away...

I wanted it to have a much for a long time now, one thing I've noticed is it has a little natural oil in it that helps it be self years on one guitar I....
It just wasn't feeling right for that guitar for some reason.

Is describing it as a crack?.Look for a different Guitar, preferably one you can actually play a finish crack might devalue the guitar should I ever try and sale it.

If you glueWow...that is a good long crack! Yes, re-humidifying will help to close the gap.
If it doesn't dry out, then the crack wont open.
It is to prevent the guitar from drying out.

Bottom line, if it's a vintage guitar, take it and have it at a certain light.....
However the top to crack in the location you describe.
I wouldn't be fussed about a finish crack, especially if the git has a thick poly finish.

I can't get past the idea of drilling a hole in the guitar to fix a crack I'm at it? I have a bit of color on those spots on the right-hand crack now where it needs it, so it just needs a clear touchup now....
