So the fact that i may have had gum disease at the time does not change that fact? What you are describing as "gum disease" is not the extreme kind.

If you have the teeth removed, then yes thats one way of getting rid of the pain but having dentures instead of your own teeth would be the start of a whole new set of problems .

The only real potential issue that I could see happening... .
As long as people want to actually keep their OWN teeth (and the vast majority of the patient's in my office seem to want to!) I don't think this will effect the profession very much, if at all .
