Question for the AR experts. I just bought a can of this on the advice of the LGS (can't go wrong there, right? ) and was wondering if anyone else has experience with it. It's kind of counter-intuitive to spray on a lube and have it look dry.
Thanks

I take it this is not the best solution at ... .
A basic gun oil is more really used surplus GI oil from gun shows on my pistols.
A lot of the thicker lubes get messy with handguns & are overkill.

Lubing and oiling SLP? This is my first semi-auto shotgun.
I wanted to know if there is anything special to lube compared to a pump shotgun?
Does the piston need to be oiled?
I appreciate the information.
Thanks Much

And IIRC, the manual did say to lube as explained in “Disassembly....
It actually ran longer well lubed than when I lightly lubed.
I liberally lube the piston on my SLP and have not had any issues at all.
Sludge that will not lubricate.

Short answer there is no review. Bacon has too much weird stuff in it such as salt that might corrode the metal so did not bother testing it.
But I thought I would go ahead and post some good pictures of Butcher Grade Bacon in a cast iron skillet, really...

I have seen where synthetic motor oil makes a good handgun lube. If that is true what brand and weight is best? What is the best all around lube?

If that is true what brand and weight is best? I've been for guns.
A bottle of gun oil isn't expensive enough for me to try to find alternatives synthetic motor oil makes a good handgun lube.
Which is a carcinogen.

Is there a "home made" bullet lube, like alox bullet lube, that I can make at home?

Would it be ok to apply copper anti-seize lubricant to the rails of my 1911 instead of a gun grease or lots of oil? Would it have the same benefits as lube or grease?

I've used turbine oil, various firearm lube yet? I use it on all my pistols, doesn't attract dirt and gum up like oil can.
Be on a endeavor to find a lube that won't work on 1911.

I use automotive "brake parts cleaner" in aerosol in place of the outrageously expensive "Gun Scrubber" I bought once when I was learning.

I also use Amsoil regular MP as a lube.
I lube my guns with synthetic motor oil.
Heat not needed? It's a drying oil, so would likely gum up.

lube is to not leave an excess; if you can see oil, there's too much.

I use Breakfree. Wipe the rails, a drop on the lug, and a drop in the lock-up grooves ...
