I parted ways with $100 for a PowerBook 180 that came in the mail Saturday. I know it sounds like a lot for an old PowerBook but I wanted the 180b specifically and this one looked pristine. I didn't want a clunker - and I was thankful to not get a clunker...

I have a PowerBook G4 1.25 Ghz, 768 Mb Ram, 15 inch. Model 5,2.
I have bought for it Mac OS X retail version for it.
Both are in perfect condition and the PowerBook works amazingly.
How much do you think its value is roughly on ebay? Shall I sell them...

That was two years ago.
I bought both my PowerBooks on eBay in "Not working, for parts or repair" condition and spent $150 for the first one and $280 for the second.
For almost as much as the Powerbook.

I have a weird issue with my Powerbooks 160 and 165: I can't set the time and date anymore. As soon as I leave the date/time Control panel, the date/time immediately jumps around. It may jump ahead half an hour, jump ahead a week, jump behind by 50 years...

Trip down memory lane from 16 yrs ago? I discovered a MacWarehouse catalog from 1996, and did some quick scans...
I remember our Performa Plus 6200 well - with blistering 75Mhz PowerPC chip. (This was our last Mac as it happens...)

I'm excited! Just won a PowerBook 520 on eBay for a whopping $8.01 plus shipping! Only bad thing is it has no power adapter. Hopefully I'll come across one soon.

That is the trouble with apple psu, you rarely come across one
Congratulations on the powerbook! Even if you can't find a Power Supply, the HD in it is worth the cost if it works.

I have a highly upgraded 9600 that has a pioneer DVD burner on an ata/66 card. It has no trouble seeing DVDs but I'd sort of like it to play them. Anyone done this? Computers I have at least 1 of: 128k, 512k, 512ke, Plus, SE, SE/30, Classic, Color Classic...

As it says in the title, the PowerBook G3 I recently acquired suddenly choked and died in the middle of a reboot and won't boot. It's giving me four beeps, which is supposed to be a ROM problem, the solution to which seems to be logic board replacement...
