I parted ways with $100 for a PowerBook 180 that came in the mail Saturday. I know it sounds like a lot for an old PowerBook but I wanted the 180b specifically and this one looked pristine. I didn't want a clunker - and I was thankful to not get a clunker...

That was two years ago.
I bought both my PowerBooks on eBay in "Not working, for parts or repair" condition and spent $150 for the first one and $280 for the second.
For almost as much as the Powerbook.
I have a weird issue with my Powerbooks 160 and 165: I can't set the time and date anymore. As soon as I leave the date/time Control panel, the date/time immediately jumps around. It may jump ahead half an hour, jump ahead a week, jump behind by 50 years...

Most of the 5xx series have at least a 120MB HD in....
That is the trouble with apple psu, you rarely come across one Congratulations on the powerbook! Even if you can't find a Power Supply, the HD in it is worth the cost if it works.
I have a highly upgraded 9600 that has a pioneer DVD burner on an ata/66 card. It has no trouble seeing DVDs but I'd sort of like it to play them. Anyone done this? Computers I have at least 1 of: 128k, 512k, 512ke, Plus, SE, SE/30, Classic, Color Classic...

As it says in the title, the PowerBook G3 I recently acquired suddenly choked and died in the middle of a reboot and won't boot. It's giving me four beeps, which is supposed to be a ROM problem, the solution to which seems to be logic board replacement...
