I noticed last week when recording Hawaii 5-0 on Sky1 HD the beginning was really choppy, picture breaking up, that coincided with recording Top Gear in HD, the end of that got messed up
Thursday night, recorded Mad Men on Sky 1 HD, same time recorded...

Seems strange it only happens on Sky One HD, maybe I'll keep a "broken" recording and on again this evening (he told her not to) box started up fine, but has same problem recording 1 HD it was a known....

HD recordings generally use about 6-8GB of storage for a one-hour recording....
The newer Tivos always list recording capacity for both SD and HD recordings so you might want to look at Tivo's website for the specs.

So the Shuttle won't record smooth get me wrong, the playback is nice, the compression....
It's nice to be able to record 10bit fully uncompressed video from an HVxx....but when you pay it, is that SSDs rarely write data as fast as the makers claim.

Having installed my long awaited Blackgold BGT3600, I'm having problems with Freeview HD.
I can view a single DVB-T2 HD channel no problem but if I record one HD and try to watch another, things go horribly wrong.
I loose signal on both tuners, both LEDs...

Hi, guys! I'm having a dilemma right now. Should I get a DSLR with HD video recording capabilities or get a dedicated HD video camera? By the way, my Nikon D40's still pretty swell.

The box is an Amstrad DRX890
Can't remember the exact age - I'd say about 2-3 years approx There shouldn't be anything wrong with that .
As always, the make/age of the Sky box will help diagnosis, please .
