Do you guys have yourself or your partner tested for aids/hiv before having sex with them? i know absolutely nothing about aids/hiv. is there a way to tell if someone has it?

The reason the nurse told the patient to follow up with an HIV clinic- Following to be clear- I am NOT saying your friend....
Assuming you mean there has been some type of exposure to an HIV+ individual- A negative test is the desired outcome.
