Ahh, this seems to be a good idea, but it sounds more like a plugin approach .
I did something similar for PunBB, i think it's not more complicated for PhpBB, the easiest way enought with phpBB.

Does anyone know if there is a list of plugins that have exploit issues, I want to avoid the same problem again.
