Cheap Black and Decker drill from ASDA. Free collection in store after 2 - 3 days or £2.95 for delivery. May only be 12v but for someone who wants a cheap drill with two batteries for around the home it seems to be a good deal.

Boxer Basically however, 90DC is right don't expect too much it's a check drill ok for small DIY but as 12v won't if you want a proper cordless....
Be rubbish as a hammer drill with 12v behind it, decent enough for small jobs and wood.

Often on Holmes Inspection and This Old House, the workers use what appear to be
hammer drills as electric screwdrivers, particularly for lag bolts or long

why not mark the drill bit at required depth? Use a wine cork...drill through it lengthways by adjusting the position of the drill bit in the...ummm...grippy thing that has a name that will return this is, I have no idea.
