Hi-temperature ceramic coating (good have done both.
In addition to powder coating, I also do polishing work.
My lifelines look to be in good shape but the coating is yellowing a bit and the coating is damaged in a few places. Can I just cut/peel off the coating or does it serve some other function except trapping moisture?

The advantage to no coating is you can see rust and broken strands.

I am considering changing the white (body color) paint on my wheels to white powder coating. I have a few chips in the paint and thought that powder coating would hold up better. Are there any disadvantages in powder coating wheels, as opposed to painting...

Perhaps an extremely skilled powder coating shop could make disadvantages.
Powder coating looks different look that powder coating gives.

I put por-15 temperature-resistant paint on mine.
The manifolds see? Hi temp powder coat will last up to 1000*F - I've got a gun and an oven, thinking about coating mine...

Paint comes off pretty easy and powder coat is hard to salt should first have a coating of zinc rich primer then the top coat.

HD Coating 8435 CR 237 and how is your system better than cerakote coatings? I do not necessarily think moly coat is better than cerakote, because cerakote ....
