WD harddrive not being recognized? I recently dropped my laptop like 2 feet from the ground stopped working so I took out the harddrive from my laptop and plugged it to a USB thing so I can see if it's working correctly on my computer and I connect it...

I wouldn't use a green drive for programs, their intended purpose is low intensity data storage, such as music, movies etc .

A clicking noise sound coming from an enclosure....
Clicking ,grinding noise usually means drive a clicking sound coming from an enclosure, so the noise is prob coming from the drive.
If u switch off pc ,drive may never work again .

Many SCSI hard drives, and most likely a Connor....
Typically, the CD is set to ID = 3 and the boot drive to ID = 0 (though 1 or 2 will work fine) .
If the IIvx has a CD drive, you need to make sure the drive is numbered/ identified differently than the CD .
