Just what title says. I am surprised by insufficiency of results in Google search for this question! What I want to is the equivalent of Python dictionaries but in bash (and hence, should work across OSX, Ubuntu and other major Linux distributions).

Dreams about Amsterdam when I do it's usually about walking along the canals or sitting in a CS...all good stuff...

Feb 9th:
Long 11 hour total travel time from U.S. but it was made better when the plane over to AMS was only about 25% full! So, got to relax in economy with noone else in my aisle. Lotsa people were stretched out in the rows sleeping, kinda like a ghetto...
