I'm new to the site and club. I have a '94 with 16,000 miles that needs head gaskets. I realise that these inquiries have been made before but I would like to ask again.

Hey guys builder recommends mls head gaskets @$85 a piece and i heard the cheaper fel pro 9333-pt1 gaskets would work fine. Are the mls gaskets necessary? Here is the combo:

I don't plan on changing my head gaskets until well enough to get the ....
I replaced them with FelPro 1011-1s to do before you have any turbo kit on at all .
I went ahead and swapped out the stock head gaskets and fasteners.

It is not a state of the art high performance 2 stroke with a alloy head gasket or O ring head gaskets on these engine are usually around .060 thick and will easily compress .010 when torqued for a head....

Uprated head gaskets
just a quick question when fitting an uprated headgasket do u still fit the shim even if you dnt get the head skimmed ? thanks

The shim is part then the shim must be used, if the head....
Yes you do, The shim provides the best possible surface for the glue on the new gasket to seal correctly, Without it the gasket wont seal and will obviously fail quite quickly.
