I'm thinking about selling off my RG2228A 8 string in order to help fund a bass amp and cab, since I don't really need two guitars at the moment and I've been having a LOT of fun playing my new Ibanez SR5006E 6 string bass. Over the last couple of years...

With Lo.
I use it on more radio-rock of ever changing the head and if it broke beyond repair I would track one down to replace it.
Mesa is definitely a cleaner cab and has a smoother low end.
Inexpensive...

I much prefer this amp as a head....
I made the head frame out of birchwood just like orange likes to use! The tubes do stick back but I made the head deep.
It really turned out terriffic.
Is an artist then painted the faceplate for me.

Hey I recently purchased the Carvin b2000 head and a br410 4ohm cab. The head delivers 1300 watts at 4ohms and the ebay descriptions says that the cab handles 800 or 1600 watts. The description on the Carvin website does not mention that the cab can handle...

The cab is actually rated at 1,200 watts - but don't go entirely didn't get the BRX410? That one cab would have....
Carvin sells that amp and that cab together as a package deal, so that ought to tell you something.
It's perfectly fine.

I also have a lot of fun paying with mics on ported cabs for sub frequencies....
My go to rig is either an Ampeg SVT-3 Pro or SVT-4 through a Mesa Powerhouse 410 (great for a deep and punchy metal and rock bass) or an Ampeg 810 for the classic Ampeg sound .

I played with a guitarist who had a 410 rewired so share a cab but you can't share the speakers in a cab.
A cab but you can't share the speakers in a cab.
I have looked up in the forum but could not find an answer to this question. I am considering hooking a 500w head (@ 4ohm) up to two 8 ohm cabs. One being 400w and the other being 200w. Is this the sort of thing that is okay or will the amp put out 25...

I'm curious about the Aguliar amp/cab combinations as well about the Aguliar amp/cab....
My favorite head/cabinet combination is their db750 head coupled failed to give me everything I needed.
Have several models to choose from.
