Palpitations are almost always benign. In a typical cardiac work up for palpitations, an EKG, Holter, echo +/- a stress test is done. It depends on your risk profile.
If you had work up one year ago that was normal and nothing has changed, it is unlikely...

Do not worry, it just making things worst. You stopped, that is the main thing. You are only 21. Be happy it happened to you now and not later in your life when your heart muscle could have got a damaged. If you need an ultrasound, fine it won’t harm ...
