I don't think I ever "smelled" them and they were fun memory! My neice (who is now 40!) had hermit crabs when she was about 10.
My daughter had hermit crabs for years.

Ok so i just straight up caught 3 hermit crabs on top of one of my new zoa frags. they had about 15 heads on them.
the frags were nice and open 2 days ago, yesterday they closed up. and today all the polyps are gone

I have had 120g FOWLR tank for 6 years and set up first 30g reef tank. and one of my first additions was an anchor coral. 2 days later i came back from work to see my hermit crabs tearing it to pieces. This happens?!?

I have many new 'hermit crabs'. i have 'red legged and blue legded' crabs from my LFS and I know the name they gieve is not genus sp. so this is the best i have until i post a pic. WOndering would it be best to isolate them in another tank for best growth...
