There are 3 used wallenstein 62x chippers in my area that are available for the price of a 42x. I have a Kubota L3200. I know the 42x is a better match for power, but can I run a 62x with my tractor? A new tractor is not an option.

Once you get it spinning it would work, just limit the size you feed it .

Last week I had problems with my PTO . With this forums help I got the right parts and got things working again, at least with the tiller. But the slider doesn't want to go on the chipper/shredder. When I try to engage it, the lever won't quite go back...

I even tried rotating the chipper shaft by hand (well, with a stick with the chipper shaft, but it looks....
But it still won't engage.
I'd take a very small file and touch up.
Sounds like your chipper's splines are a little boogered.
