When is high density altitude a good thing? Any examples of where a high density altitude is a benefit to us as pilots? I can think of VMC being decreased. Anything else? The reason why they won't work where you are is because you are too low . High altitude balls are somewhat deflated to make up for the air contents in higher altitudes.
