My wife and I are going out west in early June (Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, and the likes). We do some hiking here, but nothing that sneakers don't handle. We'd like to do some heavier stuff out there, but neither of us has a good pair of hiking boots/...

They are about a pound per boot lighter than regular hiking boots, and feel as nice ....
The best hiking boot are ultra-lightweight.
For-your-buck, I'd say socks are the best investment, then boots, then insoles.

Base with the recommendation....
Toss in crampons for hiking if/when the snowshoes are not useful.
I have a pair of Baffin boots and amBunny boots and gaiters.
I'd go with an insulated boot similar to the following.

I don't have the Beartooth....
They have great orthotics on shoes/boots, has a pair of Oboz trail shoes and claims they are the best and most comfortable he's had.
I have the Wind River boots, basically the same boot.
Is a good brand.

We probably have 3-4 pairs of reasonable hiking, backpacping boots that need TLC, was gonna chuck them out, but this coud be a better solution I have my old the boot, but they are in good....
A few new pairs and don't need this pair.
My boss gave me a Keen gift card and I see they make hiking boots. I know they make quality shoes just wondering if anyone on here has seen or worn their boots. Thanks

They actually make your feet weaker the more rugged a pair of a non-waterproof ... .
Heavy vs strength.
Boots, imo, are overated.
The online reviews most.
Regular hiking boots may be ok but their backpacking boots don't hold up.
I need to get some hiking / hunt boots. Need something comfortable! On my last hunt I had some cheap boots that killed my feet. Footwear is very important and I payed the price.. Feet hurt like a mother... What do you recommend? thanks

They killed for lightweight check out Merrel with Vibram....
These people are either hikingI went thru a couple of pair of boots that were affordable, you get what you pay for.
On the 4 other people I know who own the Merrel and Asolo boots.
