Do you recommend Hilton Head with kids 3 under age 10 for a summer vacation. We do not golf. Love the ocean and pool.

It doesn't have the selection of Restaurants and had to be evacuated back to Hilton Head (where I live) because of Hurricane Irene.
The outer Banks has more solitude, than Hilton Head.

We are trying to decide whether or not to book Sea Crest or Shorewood condo. Both are updated and nice & I know Coligny is right across from Sea Crest, but I've never stayed there. We have (3) small kids. Has anyone stayed at both to have an opinion?

Hilton Head is definitely worth a day trip! Coligny Circle WOULD be a good place--several good restaurants.
It should be in the neighborhood of $35-$50 for 24 hours, depending on the size of the car .
