Next month, near Dallas, the annual Renaissance Fair is being held. It's a big event with all kinds of shows, people dressing up and of course, food and drinks.
I was dragged there by a past GF and I hated it.

I used to dress up on my underwear i like the renaissance era of europe but i dont think id go to a fair about it lol them since I kind of go overboard on the spending....
I go, and they are awesome.
For history class, and we had to dress up.

That's mostly what Beck's (and Stewart's) events were - fairs, events, fan conventions - whatever history where attendance isn't a measure....
The summer fair in my little rural town probably gets nearly that many people in a weekend.
