However to answer force was not required 42 years ago during the Kent State massacre.
The kent state shooting is still in controversy over who fired the first shot.

Kent is a big place,
Reccomend
ealham village, lovely views ets and pubs in the village / valley and well served (and has a pretty good gunshop!!) and Rochester is quite nice with lots of history gives it a run for its money.
