Hitting the cue ball head on for a 'stop' shot ball by hitting the cue ball below the center line, then the reaction would be that the cue ball would back up a little....
There are several 'reactions' to this scenario.

I learned how to hit down on the ball today! This has opened up my swing to shots i have never hit before.
The trajectory and the spin you can create from hitting down on the ball is a mind blowing for me.
No more sweeping...

Hitting Turf Before Ball Here's the dealio:
Golfed Saturday and hit a 103 (personal best). Had a birdie, 2 par's, quite a few bogies, and a few REALLY bad holes. It was a great day for me though as I really started putting the pieces together.

I have been a 4.5 player for 20 years. I have a friend who is near my age and recently got bumped up to 5.0. It was not a surprise since he dominates at 4.5. He hits heavy high bouncing ground strokes with a lot of pace. Well a lot for this level of tennis...

If you can, even move forward to the ball; set up and hit it well out in front.
You'll give him less, get to the ball.
Dont let the ball get up too high, step into the court and hit it on the rise.

Saw a guy shoot the eight ball.
I've managed to knock the white off to next doors table, it bounced around and didn't even hit any or the player accidentally touches the ball with his hand or arm.

As you can see from photo a net....
Unless you plan on hitting just half swing chips or wedge shots the smaller sizes will be too small.

Why is Bryce Harper the only one that sprints to first base after hitting a ground ball? From what I've seen he's the only one that literally sprints to first base even if he hit a ground ball right to a fielder.
Why is he the only one? Is it because ...

The theory is obvious, why blow out a hamstring on a routine ground ball? Yo
I'm sure he's player and give a good jog on pop ups and ground ball outs.

Does a pitched ball that bounces before reaching the batter box and then hits the batters send him to first base? If so is the batter required to make reasonable effort to avoid the bounced ball?
