Just wondering what the stance was on this
employee booked a weeks holiday for next week ( booked about a month ago)
then phoned in sick yesturday, and not turned up for work today ( no phone call to say)
so when he comes back to work, if he comes in ...

Me being extremely cynical (but only....
One can be sick and on holiday with a sick note then he can have his holidays another time.
And doesn't phone in sick that first day, it should be counted as holiday.

Ebay do and the buyers response and the fact that there were holiday notifications in place they will remove put my store in holiday mode I would....
I was safe from any bad fb, so went on holiday with no worries.

Work deducting 2 days pay for having 1 sick day even though i get paid sick days. Rite.
i had 1 sick day and my work has deducted 2 days pay for this... i also had a day as holiday so i am guessing thats where they got the 2 days from.
i get 22 days paid...

Do you like this? I am switching from being allowed to take sick days that don't count towards my vacation days to a PTO scenario. Just curious how this works for you.
I get 11 more PTO days than I had vacation days. I think this should be more than enough...

10 vacation
5 floating holidays
10 paid holidays all year for vacation/sick/whatever.
Even less often than me being sick.
