Personally I feel that a midwife who has a good reputation and outcomes AND doesn't I'd probably be okay with it.
I'm 40 minutes from a hospital and would be fine with that as long as the midwife was experienced with room air.

That the mid-wife is unable to be there- would you still be able to have a homebirth or would you have that the mid-wife is unable to be there- would you still be able to have a homebirth or would you read up on enough, sadly).
So the father left and i'm sorta not doing so great financial, but homebirth is really really important to me.

They attend with their supervising midwife (who with 2 different CPM midwives.
I personally would be leary of an uncertified midwife depends on how much experience and training they do have.
Or simply ask if they know any in training.

So happy about your experiences.
This is perfect for us as the nearest midwife birthing center is 3-4 hours away.
I'm so excited because I found a traveling midwife that will come and stay with us for 2-3 weeks.

Of reading/hearing "I'm not brave enough to give birth at home." I totally understand that homebirths are not for everyone, but I feel like this statement implies that we have to be extra brave because it is a less safe option...which most of us know ...

My midwife is lovely and very happy for me to have one.

Last week my midwife measured me and i was measuring 30 weeks even though i was only 26 and had gained 15 pounds in 5 weeks. she wanted me to get an ultrasound done which i scheduled for this upcoming saturday to make sure the baby was on schedule.
