There is something wrong with my 'restore down' feature. When clicking to go to a link i get a blank screen until i click on the 'restore down'.

I looked into Logix and EasyExtend for Python. Logix hasn't been around for a while and it failed to install on Python 2.6. EasyExtend's tutorial is hopeless, the code in the tutorial doesn't even work.

If it were me, I would derive a context-free grammar and plug it into a parser generator, probably Scala's combinator library .
You could try ANTLR or lex/yacc.
Antlr would do the trick.
