I suffered migraines 11 years ago while pregnant with dd. I got visual auras and speech slurring, etc. Had a ct and nothing was found , diagnosis migraine. I never had zomeg or imitrex because the migraines weren't constant. Now I've had two in 24 hours...

You probably only had 1 migraine in the last 24 hrs and still be considered....
I've found no food correlation with my migraines.
And none have been).
I still get an occasional one, but we're talking maybe 4-6 a year .

Perimenopause has really kicked up my migraines! The only success I've had has been the abortive medication Imitrex, but I am currently trying to find a more preventative approach. I have been to numerous dr.'s and have not responded well to Hormone replacement...

When Imitrex came out, I ran (didn't walk) straight to my Dr very grateful for Imitrex !! I used to get migraines....
I, too, am also in perimenopause and trigger point massage migraines for over 50 years.

I get ocular migraines my soda comsumption plummeted, which....
But more often than not they're caused by not enough food .
It has and cold foods.

I also suffer with migraines terribly and wonder why more women aren't posting under this topic.
With them as Migraines seem to be something you just have to suffer through the best way you can...

They never found a reason for the ....
I saw a medical Dr, a neuro, an ENT, an eye Dr, and an allergist .
I had many tests to rule out other I had visual auras before the migraines.
I went through daily migraines 3 or so years ago for months.

When I started migraines at age 12....
I know many of you have noted you can get a flare/increase in your spondy pain at predictable times in your cycle. I'm curious to hear from everyone - re spondylitis pain cycles AND migraines if you have them - what sort of personal cycles do you have...

Even more interesting that you have had no migraines since you went off - is culpable in a significant proportion of migraines.

I had my first ever migraine last year, it was pretty severe and mistaken for a stroke. It was brought on by the BCP (I had never taken it before and never will again). But since peri started, or what I think is peri, I've been getting similar symptoms...

Try taking it in the form of magnesium glycinate or magnesium citrate! I didn't know it helped with migraines....
Bee, I do not get migraines but I've seen many ladies write about taking magnesium on a daily basis to prevent migraines.
