I am up tonight with horrible back pain. It is 3:30 am and here I sit on my couch unable to sleep. I haven't had back pain at all during this pregnancy. I don't think I am in labor as I am not feeling any contractions. I don't know what gives though. ...

I had a childbirth book that showed a "normal labor curve" with progression measured against time...
So, it's just me.
Labor time = 19 hours from start of pitocin induction to c/s.

Our hospital has recently remodeled their L&D wing, adding large laboring tubs to the room. Anyone have any experience using those? What did you wear? How long did you stay in? Did DH get in with you? Did it really help with the pain?
Thanks!

I didn't have a chance to actually labor in it because just so I can actually....
I wishI gave birth in the tub and it was awesome .
It gave me horrible back labor, so I didn't stay in long.
It's worth a try to see if it helps you .

I just had a random thought pop into my head. When you're in labor do they make you take out your contacts and put glasses on? I know you could end up with an emergency c section, but you'd still be awake. I'm going to be so sad if I have to wear glasses...

I would call back and describe what to say, trust your gut, and GL! I say call back if you need to, but unless you are one and that they would be timeable.
It is definitely possible to go into labor without any bloody show.
