Those comedy movies that make fun of horror and slasher films that give a pretty good idea of typical horror movies if you're trying to improve your writing.

Vampires and demons do on horror movies....
IMO, Underworld movies are not 'horror' movies.
There are still some horror movies being made but most of the recent ones released have sucked people don't agree on them.

It's got a bunch of horror and B movies that are in the public domain, and thus free to watch. You just select a film, click on it, and there you go.
There's some pretty good stuff on there too. Some rarities...

I still do. Even if its something like The Howling, I'd still buy the old VHS tape of it. Gotta love the old VHS front cover artwork for some horror movies and whatever else.
Plus some horror movies are better off in VHS since there are a few of horror...

I have VHS player , i still do watch horror movies that brought VHS,
It's only this year, were have stopped recording tapes.
I only gave away our Disney and family movies though, and kept all my horror ones.

John Carpenter's "The Thing" was one of the rare movies to give me chills. So I guess you can use that as an example?
