Quality of first foal vs. later foals I've been told that a horse's first foal is not generally as nice as later foals (I've heard both in quality and size). Was currious about everyones opinions and experiences on this? Is inspecting a hunter type foal worth the time and money? I was planning on getting my foal inspected, but after looking into the cost, I am rethinking. It would be over 300 dollars to become a member, change mare ownership, inspect foal and that doesn't include braiding, trailering and time! Is it worth it ... When do you tell a boarder they can't have a foal? Wondering if anyone else has run into this and how you dealt with it? What would you do with a boarder who has an older mare (who lives with a herd) she is having the vet out to starting to try and get her in foal artificially... problem is, she hasn'...
