I'm in making 13.1" 3 strut dobsonian.
It's been a long time have passed since I started this project.
I used 1/2" Russian Birch plywood for my dob.
My UTA design is single ring style.
Ring's width is 40mm. Is it stiff enough?

Install struts, install retaining ring on struts and merely ....
A retaining ring with the strut clamps permanently attached to the outside and the UTA riding within a setup after full breakdown for transport a breeze too.

What does everyone think TNA's project in India? I saw pictures fo the set, looks great, and apparently drawing big crowds! Would be excellent if TNA established TV shows across the world in untapped markets, and I'd love to see this just to see the format...
