Did Hurricane Wilma have 209 mph sustained winds?
http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMa ... rynum=2083
Hurricanes with pinhole eyes have stronger winds at the surface than at 10,000 feet. Wilma could of had winds as high as 229 mph! :o

Wilma was an absolute monster with an unheard of tiny 2 mile that we can have that's for certain.
This is a very good read.
I have always thought that Wilma probably had pressure readings possibly down into the 877-880 mb mph + level.

Has anyone just come back from Varadero ? If so, has the city been flooded? What is the condition over there? Is anyone there to post the updated news after Wilma?
Thanks

In fact, Charley landed 20 miles to the north of my place in 2004 and Wilma 50 miles tot he south in 2005.
However, be careful during the hurricane watch as I have dealt with them many times here in Florida.
